The Buddha’s teachings offer a pathway to stilling the mind and opening the heart, so that we are more and more aware of our direct experience of life. Through opening to life as it is, we can come to know what it means to awaken in the midst of our life, to be deeply connected to our experience, and yet not bound by it.

This silent retreat will focus on cultivating a quality of conscious presence that embraces our heart, mind and body with acceptance, compassion and wisdom. Join us to learn and practice together in this silent meditation retreat.

All levels from beginners to advanced practitioners are welcome.

Anushka teaches meditation retreats and workshops around the country and has trained for 25 years in the Theravada tradition in the U.S., India and Sri Lanka. Anushka is on the Teacher’s Council at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and hosts a weekly meditation group in San Francisco, Monday Night Dharma. Her teaching is informed by creative arts, nature, political engagement, and modern urban life. Anushka also works as a leadership coach and management consultant, influenced by a BA in anthropology and religion from Harvard University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
