Thursday Evenings – 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

We begin with 30 minutes of sitting meditation, followed by 15 minutes of walking meditation and then another 15 minutes of sitting. We end the evening with a discussion based on a weekly reading. It is not necessary to have done the reading to attend. Beginners are always welcome.

There will be a Dharma talk with Q&A after meditation on the first Thursday of each month. The topic of the talk will vary.

Book for Thursday Discussion – We will be discussing of The Experience of Insight by Joseph Goldstein. It is also available at Amazon. It is not a new release; it may also be available used.

Instruction for Beginners – First Thursday of each month at 6:30pm. Bring a cushion if you have one; a few cushions and chairs are available. You are welcome to sit in a chair if you prefer. Wear comfortable clothing.

First Sunday – 9:00am – 12:30 p.m.

On the First Sunday of each month, we alternate sitting and walking meditation from 9-11am, and then hear and discuss a recorded dharma talk. You may arrive at either 9 or 10am and leave as you wish. If you have not attended First Sunday before, please call Kathey (512.565.3774) or Rick(512.663.7835) for a brief orientation and location. LOCATION HAS CHANGED. On First Sunday, we sit at a location near Zilker Park in South Austin.

In cooperation with Insight Meditation Houston (IMH) we are participating in a (though not administrating) residential retreat at the Margaret Austin Center taught by Howie Cohn of Mission Dharma from San Francisco. See IMH’s webpage for registration information.
